If you want to work as a doctor in India after MBBS abroad, follow these steps:
Step 1: Pass FMGE/NEXT Exam
✔ FMGE (50% passing marks required) – Until NEXT is implemented.
✔ NEXT (if applicable from 2024 onward).
Step 2: Complete Internship in India
✔ Students must do 1-year compulsory internship in an NMC-approved hospital in India.
✔ Internship is required for medical registration in India.
Step 3: Apply for Permanent Medical Registration
✔ After passing FMGE/NEXT and completing the internship, apply for permanent medical registration with the State Medical Council or National Medical Commission (NMC).
Step 4: Apply for Jobs or NEET-PG for Specialization
✔ Start working as a licensed doctor in India.
